With an increasing rate of  442.4 per 100,000 men and women per year of new cases of cancer, there’s a consistent concern in finding alternatives to treat this disease. That’s when the interest of CBD for cancer comes in.

The review concluded that CBD had a striking response in the patient’s cancer with near-total resolution. 

In general, though not precisely the cure, studies have shown that CBD could serve as an effective treatment for cancer patients. 

2. Can CBD prevent cancer? 

Whether CBD can be used for preventing cancer is still up to debate with mixed conclusions. 

CBD could reduce the formation of colon cancer, according to a 2014 review. These results have clinical relevance supporting the use of cannabis-based treatment in the future. 

There are some carcinogens found in smoked cannabis, this information focuses mostly on marijuana use and not CBD. Ingesting CBD does not endanger the body to be exposed to the same carcinogens as smoking weed. 

More research is still needed to say whether CBD can serve to prevent cancer.

Yes, CBD oil and CBD products are legal in the UK as long as the THC content remains below 0.2%.
